The player has an option to choose between: Sonic, a Fighting-type Sonicmon, Silver, a Psychic-type Sonicmon, or Shadow, a Fighting/Dark-type Sonicmon. Player starts out in Pallet Town and then receives his very own Sonicmon from Professor Oak.
